My name is Danielle Oteri and I split my time between New York and Naples, Italy. I’m a writer, lecturer, and art historian who spent 15 years at the Cloisters, the medieval branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Now I plan and host tours in Southern Italy for Feast Travel and oversee things at Arthur Avenue Food Tours in the Bronx’s Little Italy. I also host Context Conversations via Zoom for virtual travelers.

In Tante Belle Cose I share stories, travel tips, and my favorite places to eat and drink in Italy. I also highlight the “Indiana Jones” moments you can have in Italy, which is to say the experiences that require a little bit of adventure. Above all, Italy is where I most feel awe and wonder, and this newsletter will share those experiences with you.
