We have a home in Le Marche, and so often have people stopping by while on their way to Rome, Puglia, Amalfi, etc. So often, what they're expecting and what is possible in these places are completely mismatched (but of course it's too late to tell them that by the time we see them). This is one of the best summaries I've seen about how to realistically approach a visit to Italy.
